Before the year wraps up, we wanted to say hello, and introduce ourselves properly.

Yes, that is our dog, Oliver. Yes, that is our Christmas tree behind him. And yes, we are very real people who genuinely care about writers and books.

We know the internet can feel crowded with promises, shortcuts, and programs that sound a little too good to be true. That’s not us. We’re just for-real book people who believe in careful work, honest guidance, and helping authors make thoughtful decisions about their writing and their careers.

We work with writers at many stages. Some are publishing traditionally. Some are self publishing. Many are finding their own hybrid path. What they share is a desire for their work to be taken seriously and to be treated with respect. We have navigated many of the same systems that elevate some voices while diminishing others, so we understand the frustration. We are committed to working toward change.

As we head into the new year, we’re excited to share more practical publishing advice, behind the scenes insights, and real conversations about what it actually takes to bring a book into the world. We believe in transparency over gatekeeping, and in opening up conversations about access, opportunity, and fairness in publishing. That is something we look forward to exploring with you in 2026.
