This morning, I came across this wonderful display of American flags in Monrovia, honoring our veterans.
And I just loved it.
The flags waving in the sunshine, the beautiful old trees, and that big, cheerful THANK YOU VETERANS sign. I found myself unexpectedly moved.

There’s something extraordinary about people who are willing to sacrifice so much for others, including complete strangers. And something equally lovely about a community taking the time to say thank you.
Sometimes a simple gesture of gratitude can stop you in your tracks.
This one certainly stopped me.
To our veterans and their families, thank you. What a beautiful reminder of how much we owe you.
