Come and get your free edit~no strings attached 😉

We’re ecstatic to extend an invitation to you to attend a Current Words One-And-Done Session—a uniquely enjoyable opportunity crafted for fiction and memoir writers to enhance their skills in a wonderfully supportive environment. And the best part? It won’t cost you a penny!

Imagine this: an online gathering hosted by top editors Dianne Pearce and David Yurkovich (D&D), 9-11 AM Pacific time on select Saturdays and limited to just five participants. You share your work with Dianne and David, and the other participants, only, in an intimate Zoom meeting, and D&D come prepared with a deep dive into your work: looking for your unique patterns, challenges, and talents as an author.

Here’s the scoop on how to secure your spot: send in a snippet of your writing (between 450-550 words) to workshops@currentwords.com. Let D&D know full name, and the genre you’re working on (short stories, long-form fiction, memoir). Once you snag a spot, an email with exclusive instructions and the meeting URL is coming your way. Get ready to join a small-group discussion via Zoom, where we’ll give your work the thoughtful attention it deserves.

Why would you want to do it? We all have our unique qualities as a writer: some that make our writing tasty, and some that slow it down. But what does an editor do? How does it feel to be edited? Why are one author’s pieces accepted and others turned away? Is editing worth my time? You’ll get the answer to those questions, meet a small group of other authors, and generally get a little boost to your enthusiasms, all for just a little of your time on a Saturday morning.

There’s few things that help a writer write more than hanging out with other authors. We’re eager to dive into your creative world, share in this enriching experience, and connect with our fellow wordsmiths.

This is absolutely free of charge! D&D have been reaching out to help other authors since they first established a bi-monthly free workshop ay their home in 2017. We enjoy other authors. We can’t wait to dive into your words and embark on this exciting writing journey together.

Send an email to workshops@currentwords.comInclude 450-550 words of writing for us to review, and we’ll send you the first date available, followed by a a Zoom link if you’re able to attend.

See you at the virtual gathering!
