NOTES FROM THE BRIGHT SIDE:
SHORT WORKS FROM THE COMICAL TO THE SUBLIME

ARRIVING OCTOBER 19, 2026

Life is full of moments worth noticing, and sometimes the smallest ones have the most to say.

Jane H. Fitzgerald’s Notes From the Bright Side brings together short stories, personal reflections, and poetry that celebrate the humor, heartache, surprises, and connections that shape our lives. Moving between memory and imagination, she writes about family, friendship, relationships, aging, nature, and the everyday experiences that can make us laugh, make us think, and remind us of what matters.

Warm, candid, and infused with optimism, Fitzgerald’s writing finds light without ignoring life’s challenges. Her perspective is that of someone who has lived, observed, wondered, and remained delightfully curious about the people and world around her.

Presented across 156 full-color pages, Notes From the Bright Side pairs Fitzgerald’s words with photographs, artwork, and colorful visual compositions, creating a collection designed to be explored, revisited, and enjoyed a few pages at a time, or all at once.

Thoughtful, playful, and deeply human, Notes From the Bright Side is an invitation to look again at the ordinary moments of life and discover just how extraordinary they can be.
