Thank You For This Morning, Authors

Thank You, Authors—Here’s to 2026!

Every month, Current Words hosts a free Author Marketing Meeting for our clients—past and present. These sessions are a space where writers come together to learn, share, and grow. We explore practical strategies that help authors find new readers, boost visibility, and increase book sales. It’s one of the ways we support our authors beyond publishing to ensure they continue to thrive long after their books launch.

To those who join us month after month—thank you. Your dedication, curiosity, and generosity make this community truly special.

authors - monthly marketing meetings

You show up not just for your own success, but for one another’s, and that spirit of collaboration is what makes Dave and me so fortunate to work with each of you.

Today we shared social media strategies that can be accomplished in as little as five to ten minutes per day. It was wonderful to see so many of our authors participating—asking thoughtful questions, exchanging ideas, and encouraging each other’s efforts. If you want some help with the skills from today, you can contact Dave (dave@currentwords.com) and he can set-up small group meetings to take a few of you at a time through creating posts to keep your content flowing all year in as little time as possible. Don’t get bogged-down in long blog posts when short and sweet will do it for you.

As a reminder all, there is no meeting in December (the series will return January 2026). Hopefully you’ll all enjoy some family/fun/me time, and reading the new issue of Instant Noodles (drops 12.01.25). Many of your fellow authors helped choose the selections for that issue, so I hope you’ll check it out.

If at all possible please use the break to visit your shared Google folder (go to Google Drive → My Drive → Shared with Me). Inside, you’ll find:

  • A list of podcasts currently seeking guest authors, getting booked on a few is perfect for starting 2026 with new exposure.
  • PDFs of the books we’ve published—ideal for those long fall nights when you might discover a new favorite and publish a review on Amazon, Goodreads, or Barnes & Noble. So many of you are really great about doing it for each other. The toughest thing for authors to do is to get strangers to leave reviews, so to have you as each other’s book friends is a remarkable gift.
  • Today’s meeting is there too. Not all of you could make it, so you can watch the video, and download the slides and the handout.

Each time we host an author marketing meeting, I’m reminded how fortunate I am to know such passionate, supportive writers. Your creativity and kindness continually inspire me, reinvigorate me, and make me excited for all that lies ahead for us together in the new year.

Happy holidays to all, and may 2025 take you gently into 2026.

xo,
Dianne
&, sure, why not, Dave too 😉
